NHS managers not committed to informatics

In response to the government’s recent Health Informatics Review, British Computer Society’s Health Informatics Forum responded with a central message;

“Efforts to harness health informatics to improve patient care have been “impeded” by a basic lack of commitment from NHS managers”

The report also states;

“Lack of commitment from NHS management at all levels has impeded progress in implementing informatics support for patient care.”.

My take? Welcome to the real world !

However, the original article is quite informative, talking quite a fair bit how they will overcome the challenges. Do take some time to read it here.
