As the Vice-President of the Association for Medical and BioInformatics Singapore (AMBIS), it is my pleasure to share with you folks, the World Chinese Health Informatics Symposium (WCHIS) scheduled on 22 August at Medinfo 2015, Brazil.
WCHIS is a special event organized by IMIA and Medinfo 2015’s local Organizing Committee for Mandarin-speaking attendees during the 15th World Congress on Health and Biomedical Informatics. This inaugural event is organized by China Medical Informatics Association (CMIA) and co-organized by;
- Taiwan Nursing Informatics Association (TNIA)
- Association of Medical & Bio-Informatics Singapore (AMBIS)
- Hong Kong Society of Medical Informatics (HKSMI)
As a Co-Chair of WCHIS, I sincerely welcome all interested individuals to attend the symposium. For the observant, you would have noticed that WCHIS coincides with my speaking slot at the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Asia 2015 (my speaking slot is also in the 22 August). This is unfortunately, due to a conflict in schedule and I will be attending HPAIR Asia 2015 instead.
Nevertheless, WHCIS is set to be a “power-packed” event where we will be covering topics such as advances on health and biomedical informatics in China, new policies at the Central Government level as well as the National Health and Family Planning of Commission of the People’s Republic of China regarding facilitating the development of biomedical, medical, and health informatics, investments, technology, practices, and researches will be also be addressed during the Event
