That’s right, the NYP-HIMSS Centre of Excellence for Healthcare IT has been officially launched!
For those who remember my prior post, I serve as architect (solution, workflow, integration etc.) for this initiative and I am really happy that the Centre has officially been launched; news reporting on the official launch includes;
The guest-of-honour for the launch was Dr Amy KHOR – Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Manpower & Mayor, South West District and the welcome address was given by NYP’s Principal and CEO – Mr CHAN Lee Mun and by IHiS’s CEO – Dr CHONG Yoke Sin (who also serves as the Chairperson for HIMSS Asia Pacific’s Governing Council).
Now here is the part that was ‘unfortunate’ (at least to me) – I wasn’t able to attend the official launch as I am currently in Thailand, participating in the Secoond National Conference On Medical Informatics organised by the Thai Medical Informatics Association.
Nevertheless, the excitement level is still high and a big congratulations to NYP on the official launch!
