The next speaking slot I have would be the last one for November (yes, my tight schedule continues well into December) and the conference I will be contributing to, is the Second National Conference on Medical Informatics and The Annual Meeting of The Thai Medical Informatics Association (TMI-NCMedInfo 2013).
Instead of delivering a topic, I would be sitting on two separate panels, touching on the following topics;
- Health Informatics in ASEAN Economic Community Countries- Current Status
- Health Informatics in ASEAN Economic Community Countries – Future Collaboration
The Second National Conference on Medical Informatics by the Thai Medical Association is a little unique in the sense that there are contributions from their sister organisations;
- Malaysia Health Informatics Association (MHIA)
- Association for Medical and Bio-Informatics, Singapore (AMBIS)
As a matter of fact, I will be wearing my AMBIS hat (as the Vice-President) for the panel discussions and similarly, there will also be a representative from MHIA doing the same.
I am kind of excited about this conference in the sense that it signifies a step towards regional contributions between the health informatics professionals in terms of knowledge sharing and industrial development.
In addition, as indicated by the titles of the panel discussions, we will touch on the ASEAN Economic Community which is a rather hot topic 🙂
