I got my replacement SIM card and am now back ‘online’.
The phone I am using at the moment? Well, I am using my ‘travel phone’, a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc running Android 2.3.4.
To be honest, using Android version 2.3.4 after being accustomed to Android version 4.3 is a difficult transition but I am still glad – because this phone is still operating on Android, which means I get to use all the Apps I have grown to ‘depend’ on.
My alternative would have a Samsung Omnia II running Windows Mobile 6.1 or an older Sony Ericsson feature phone (which is a good phone). I also do have a Dopod 838 Prod lying somewhere but I reckon the battery is busted on that one.
There is a background story to why I am mentioning all these phone. It was just last week when I was complaining that I have too many phones lying around and would like to re-purpose them (e.g. as a webcam) because it is such a waste having them around doing nothing. Never did I imagine that I would lose my main phone yesterday (its the first time in my life I have lost a phone and I honestly hope it will be the last).
Ah well, I guess I will have to make do with my ‘Travel Phone’ in the meantime, it is an Android phone after all!
