Ramblings: Fellow of Australasian College of Health Informatics

A couple of stuff came in the mail (snail mail, not email) this week, of particular interest to the topic of eHealth (to me) are;

My CPHIMs renewal certificate, which is important not only because I want to retain my CPHIMS status but in addition, as a member of the CPHIMS Technical Committee (yes, the actual group that maintains the CPHIMS certificate), I have to ensure that I remain certified. So that was good.

The GREAT thing however, was the certificate for my Fellow Status with the Australasian College of Health Informatics (which among other things, allows me to use the post-nominals “FACHI”).

My status as Fellow of Australasian College of Health Informatics was approved back in early April but due to administrative delays, it arrived only almost 5 months later.

The joy of receiving the actual certificate is attributed to the fact that it took the council almost a year to evaluate my application and that it took me about 3 months to put my application together, hence the wait really is more than 5 months!

I want to post more ramblings on this topic as to share my job but its 12:13am right now so I’m going catch my forty winks.

Later 🙂
Dr. Adam CHEE, FACHI
