Today marks the launch of the Healthcare IT Special Interest Group by the Singapore Computer Society.
The launch was held at the Ministry of Health Holdings started off with an opening introduction by Dr Patrick Chia (Chair of the Healthcare IT SIG), followed by a speech by Alphonsus Pang, President of Singapore Computer Society.
Dr Sarah Muttitt (CIO of Ministry of Health Holdings) then provided an update / insights to the national Health IT initiatives and last but not least, Dr Cheng Chee Leong provided an update on the National Electronic Health Record, which included a demo.
The overall experience at the launch was great and I get to meet up with some old friends plus made some new ones.
I personally look forward to the initiatives of the Healthcare IT SIG so stay tune!
