Dear friends,
As a ExCo Member of HL7 Singapore, I would like to extend the invitation to an upcoming event – HL7 Singapore’s Technical Sharing Session on the 23rd of June 2011 from 3 PM- 6 PM
Objective:
To share with the public on –
• Singapore’s Logical Information Model (LIM)
• National eXchange Data Specifications (NXDS) for HL7v2
• “HL7 v3 Demystified”
Singapore is on the journey to a National Electronic Health Record (NEHR).
This clinically-driven journey is being supported by the National Standards Programme, within which the Singapore Logical Information Model (LIM) and compliant National eXchange Data Specifications (NXDS) are being developed.
The Singapore LIM is a clinically-driven and validated implementation-independent model of the healthcare information to be exchanged within Singapore. NXDS supports two ITS (Implementation Technology Specification) format;
• LXML (Logical XML) for SOA implementation
• HL7v2 for MLLP transport.
The use of HL7v2 is standardized with Singapore specific specification and enable inherent flat structured HL7v2 to represent highly hierarchical and semantically expressive information modelled in LIM.
Your presence will be important!!
Come to find out what’s brewing at the standards front & engage in lively discussion with the speakers.
Registration is needed (to cater to Light refreshments and door gifts)

A quick update on the HL7 Singapore’s Technical Sharing Session that took place on the 23 June 2011.
The sharing session went very well in terms of actual turnout (number of attendees) and knowledge sharing.
I served as the M.C. of the event and appreciated not only the knowledge being shared by the speakers but also the opportunity to catchup with friends in the industry.
I had some friends who feedback (last week, during a wedding dinner of an ex-colleague) that they were not notified of the event and was very disappointed to have missed the opportunity to obtain valuable insights shared by the speakers, if you shared the same disappointment, I would suggest that you sign-up as a member in order to receive automatic notification. (alternatively, just visit HL7 Singapore’s website every other day.)
Till the next sharing session.
